Our train travels from Harbourside Station, a Railway Station in Itchen Street that was built in a single day in 1996. After leaving the Station, you travel behind the Historic Precinct, past some of Oamaru's oldest buildings.
After the Historic Precinct we travel through the old Oamaru railway yard, and past the site of Oamaru's first Railway Station. The train then runs along the bottom of clay cliffs, beside Oamaru's Victorian Harbour.
At the end of the line, our terminus is the Red Sheds.
The return trip is approx. half an hour with about 15 minutes to look around.
If 15 minutes isn't long enough for you, you can catch the next train back to Harbourside. Check the Timetable Page for times.
