Bushy Beach Walk

Spot New Zealand fur seals and the rarest penguin in the world, the yellow-eyed penguin, from this short cliff-top walk. 

There is a purpose-built viewing hide in which visitors can watch the yellow eyed penguins come ashore and cross the beach. The track begins at the end of Bushy Beach Rd which is at the Southern end of Oamaru.

The beach is closed after 3pm to avoid disrupting the penguins coming ashore.
