Katiki Point Walk

Time : 45 minutes return

Visitors go to Katiki Point to view the historic Katiki Point Lighthouse (which still operates today), Te Raka a Hineatea Pa site and marine wildlife including Fur Seals and the critically endangered Yellow-Eyed Penguin. Katiki Point offers stunning views over the Pacific Ocean and is a relatively easy walk, with some short steeper sections coming back up from the beach.


Please note : when viewing the wildlife don’t get too close, try to touch or handle and do not use flash photography. The reserve is closed overnight.
